controlling blue green algae in Grassy Dam reservoir water

Grassy Dam, King Island, Tasmania

A narrow reservoir measuring 750 metres long for the water supply on King Island.  EnviroSonic installed three ES300 units solar powered on two pontoons and has been most successful in controlling blooms for the past 5 years.

There was some initial concern about the effect the ultrasound might have on the resident platypus population, but it is now confirmed that many more platypus sightings are being recorded after the installation.
