King Island Case Study

King Island Tasmania

A long narrow reservoir for water supply to the local community, this reservoir has experienced many blue-green algae outbreaks. We installed three ES300 units to cover the irregular shape. This photo is of the installation process, with the location of the pictured unit moved two hundred meters further away. There has been no outbreak of blue green algae since early 2014.

There was some initial concern about the effect the ultrasound might have on the resident platypus population, but it is now confirmed that many more platypus sightings are being recorded after the installation.
